Nepenthes Globosa Original Artwork 8.27 × 11.7″
Nepenthes Globosa was the second nepenthes that I painted. I painted it right after I had finished the Copelandii piece.
Globosa is an extremely exquisite plant! With beautiful elaborate prominent flared wings. The coloration, deep red with the inner veins peeking through. And then to top it all off. Contrasting against the red and breaking all the rules of color once again, a delicate light green lid with red veins running through it. Truly beautiful!
