Nepenthes Copelandii, this is the painting that started my whole love affair with botanical art, especially painting carnivorous plants. I have an obsession with carnivorous plants and one day I set about drawing a nepenthes just as a study so I could fix the anatomy in my mind. This is a wonderful plant, the contrast in color between the red and green are striking, who would have thought red and green should be seen! but as always nature makes it work wonderfully.
